A Utilidade Estratégica do Míssil de Cruzeiro

O artigo discute o potencial estratégico de emprego do míssil de cruzeiro no contexto de uma campanha aeroestratégica. Inicialmente, especifica as características dos mísseis em geral, com a finalidade de se estabelecer uma definição, ausente no léxico doutrinário nacional, para mísseis de cruzeiro. Isso permite posicionar o AV-MTC e o MICLA-BR em um contexto classificatório. O artigo adentra em uma revisão teórica que busca identificar argumentos sobre a questão do bombardeio aéreo contra centros de gravidade estratégicos, no âmbito da teoria do poder aéreo. Com base nos construtos teóricos de Vallance (1996) e Warden III (2015), o artigo analisa a forma pela qual o míssil de cruzeiro poderia ser utilizado em uma campanha aeroestratégica. O artigo chega às seguintes conclusões: propõe uma definição de míssil cruzeiro para o glossário brasileiro; infere que a teoria do poder aéreo sustenta o emprego estratégico de mísseis de cruzeiro; levanta fatores operacionais a serem considerados no emprego dos mísseis de cruzeiro na campanha aeroestratégica; evidencia critérios para a seleção de alvos estratégicos no emprego dos mísseis; e aponta tendências desse tipo de emprego que podem ser consideradas no caso brasileiro.
